Futures is an initiative that uplifts young people of color building careers in the advertising industry. Our role was to create event collateral and an editorial catalogue that would make diversity not only visible, but tangible.
We began with a simple but powerful idea: the richness of our differences—and our shared humanity—lives in our skin. By using macro photographs of skin tones as the foundation of the graphic system, we created a visual language where every surface carries the presence of those it represents. Each texture and shade becomes a building block of the overall identity, reminding us that diversity is not abstract. It’s lived and embodied.
The centerpiece of the project is a tactile editorial profiling the Futures participants. Each spread pairs a portrait with a matched skin tone, turning the publication into both a directory and a celebration of individuality. The cover extends this logic: an embossed macro photograph of skin that mimics the texture of hair, inviting touch as much as sight.
From invitations to event signage, the brand system translates into a suite of materials that are immediate, inclusive, and resonant. Futures positions diversity as more than a statistic; it’s something you encounter, something you hold, and something you feel.
